This package design is for moon cakes, a popular food during Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, and is my third-year undergraduate design course work. It was produced as a group effort with two other classmates. They were responsible for the pattern and illustration work that adorns the packaging but I was responsible for the overall design of the packaging and its visual presentation. The design concept considers environmental protection and recycling by being able to be used twice. It also doubles as a night light for both functionality and symbolizing companionship, an emotional expression central to the Mid-Autumn Festival. For the visual presentation, I created mockups of the design using a 4D camera.
